For over 20 years, Youth New Horizons Camp at Camp Burton has provided a Christian camping environment for youth who are developmentally disabled.  Campers learn they are important creations of God and explore the beauty of God's world.

In order to provide a safe and fun camp, campers must be able to care for their personal needs (eating, dressing, and restroom) with minimal assistance and be able to participate in most camp activities.

Activities include swimming (at the local pool), canoeing, games, archery, and campfires.

Camp fee includes all meals, housing, a camp T-shirt, photo memory book, and accident insurance.  Limited financial assistance is available.

The Directors and Cabin Leaders have been selected for their skill and caring for the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of disabled persons.  Each staff member is part of training events prior to camp, completes an application form and Washington State Patrol background check, and references are checked.  A quality camp experience is our goal.

Resident staff includes a Registered Nurse, Craft Director, Waterfront Personnel, Food Service, Maintenance and Office Personnel.
