Christian Summer Camps

Purpose

We are committed to providing an experience of Christian living in a camp community, where campers learn more about God and His love for each person, gain knowledge of the outdoors and nature, and develop lifetime friendships and positive memories.

Activities

Camp Burton capitalizes on its waterfront setting with canoeing, swimming, kayaking, campfires, outdoor cooking, crafts, archery, challenge course, photography, pickle ball, outdoor games, and orienteering.

Leadership

We seek to provide a high quality staff for each session.  Each camp has its own directors and cabin leaders, with some cabin leaders serving at more than one session.  The majority of our summer staff have had prior camp experience, complete an application, references are checked, and a Washington State Patrol background check is completed.  All staff participate in training events prior to the beginning of camp.  The Site Staff working all summer perform jobs such as kitchen assistants, archery, crafts, and waterfront instruction.  Camp Burton also has year round personnel including office, maintenance, kitchen, and housekeeping staff.

Junior Camp

 (Grades 4-6)

Sun., July 6 - Thurs., July 10, 2008

$150.00

We are pleased to bring back a camp experience for elementary age campers!  This shorter camp session offers campers lots of adventures - canoeing, swimming, crafts, archery, games, campfires, singing, devotions, and ways to learn about God.  Campers often bring a friend to share in their great times.  This session is a wonderful introduction to an overnight camp experience.

Junior High Camp

 (Grades 6-8)

Sun., June 29 - Fri., July 4, 2008

$225.00

We like this age group because there is never a dull moment!  Junior High Camp is full of high energy, crazy games & events, great food, music, team building challenges, and most importantly it provides opportunities to learn about faith and God.  Campers make friends that last a lifetime and are encouraged to lead a life with Christian principles.

Senior High Camp

 (Grades 9-12)

Sun., August 17 - Sat., August 23, 2008

$250.00

Senior High camp is a special week for teenagers.  Campers will have many opportunities to talk about issues that are important to them, and to learn how they can rely on God and their faith to help them through the most challenging time of their lives.  Special events, music, games, team building activities, great food, and amazing friendships are all high points of this experience.

Family Camp

Sun., August 3 - Sat., August 9, 2008

Cost varies according to age.

Family Camp is a unique opportunity for your whole family to spend time together without having to cook, clean house, go to work, answer the phone.  You can take a nap when you want.  You can focus on each other and your faith journey with God.  Families join together for morning devotions and evening activities and have free time each afternoon.  The night owls stay up late playing table games.
